After 20+ years and 4,000+ wines personally tasted, I built Wine Twins to solve this. Instead of anonymous ratings, you get recommendations from one palate, matched to yours.

No paid placements or sponsorships. If a wine is recommended, it's because I enjoyed it and think you will too.

Your wine twins are selected on my personal ratings, the price band you pick, and the styles you say you enjoy. The top of your results is capped so it cannot be filled entirely with the closest matches, giving you a range to react to.

There is one effect worth naming. Among wines that match you equally well, the ones I can link to a retailer appear ahead of the ones I cannot. Some of those links earn a commission. That is noted wherever those links appear, and set out in full in the affiliate section of the terms. The ordering exists because a recommendation you cannot act on is less useful than one you can, but it does change what you see first.

The catalogue is finite. A wine that would suit you perfectly may be one I have never tasted, and matching cannot surface a bottle that is not there.

A rating is a snapshot. It reflects how a wine showed on the day I tasted it, and a producer can change hands or change style after that.

A quiz is blunt. It captures the shape of what you enjoy, not all of it. Treat the results as a starting point.
